Main Campus Camps SCI - TECH CAMPS

SCI-TEC QUEST CAMPS

SCI-TEC QUEST DAY & OVERNIGHT CAMPS
  • We offer a variety of Sci-Tec Quests camps and each one may be taken multiple times
  • Campers participate in new projects each week
  • Camps are designed for kids entering 3rd through 12th grades
  • The camp runs for seven hours, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday. For parents needing some extra time, extended AM and PM programs are also available
  • Sci-Tec Quests camps are offered as a full day camp or as an overnight camp. Some camps are also offered in 1/2 day format
  • Overnight camps are available for campers 11 years old and up. Sci-Tec Quest camps run for five nights, starting on Sunday and ending on Friday. An optional weekend stay is available for campers attending more then one session
  • The tuition for each one week of day camp is $495, that's at least $330 less per week then the national video game and sci-tech camp competitors!

    WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

    Main Campus Camps offers five different Sci-Tec Quest camps. Each is designed to provide a mix of classroom and traditional 'outdoor' summer camp activities. At camp, kids participate in S.T.E.A.M. activities that focus on broadening their interests and love for science and technology.

    OUR 2013 SCI-TEC QUEST CAMPS

    Attend one, or all of them, this summer we will offer five different science and technology camps:

  • Sci-Tec Quest: Lab Experiments and More
  • BASH Camp: Art, Science and Technology (K - 2nd Grades)
  • Web Design, Adobe Flash & Photoshop
  • R-Botx: Create & Program Robots
  • Digital Video Production

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Camps are focused on science and technology topics. For every camp we provide Introduction, Intermediate and Advanced instruction. Students with prior experience, or who have attended a Sci-Tech camp in the past, can jump right in and start building projects. The camp day is broken up into five periods (including lunch). We offer an option for overnight camp, and extended day programs. We also offer 1/2 day camp for some of our camps.

  • New themes and topics each week
  • Labs and experiments change from week to week - no repeats
  • About 1/2 of the camp day takes place indoors
  • Camp includes outdoor activities, and recreational swimming
  • You can sign up for one week, or all eight. You are encouraged to take multiple camps, and to return next year!

    • THE EXPERIENCE

    Classroom & Hands-On Lab (2 periods)
    Each day features two major activities where campers will participate in either experiments, labs or projects related to their camp topic.

    Outdoor Activities (2 periods)
    Each day our campers play outdoor games such as capture the flag, kickball, 'Nurf War', and compete in water fights. Weather permitting, campers will have recreational swimming time.

    Lunch and Game Time (1 period and breaks)
    During breaks and the lunch hour, campers get to play video and board games. We feature daily game competitions with Nintendo's SUPER SMASH BROTHERS and Ubisoft's JUST DANCE.

    LUNCH AT VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY

    Even if you're not staying overnight, hot lunch can be ordered at Villanova:
    Main Campus Camps offers all campers attending programs at Villanova University the option of a lunch meal plan. For campers in the overnight program, a hot breakfast and dinner are also provided.

    * Please note: the lunch fee at Villanova is $55 per week (this fee is set by Villanova University and is the same for all campers, regardless of age).

    EXTENDED DAY - MORNING & AFTERNOON CAMPS

    EXTENDED MORNING CAMP
    It's time to wake up - Mornings are awesome at Main Campus!
    The Extended Morning Camp Program is an extension of the full day camp. Each day your child will have the opportunity to hang out in our lab where they can play games or work on exciting projects. The AM program also includes entry into our AM tournaments for: knock-hockey; checkers; Super Smash Bothers; Just Dance and Wii Bowling

  • The Extended Morning Camp runs 1.5 hours prior to the opening of camp
  • Campers can be dropped off at anytime between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM
  • The fee is $45, per week

    • EXTENDED AFTERNOON CAMP
    Camp doesn't have to end at 4PM! - Afternoons at Main Campus are like a big party!
    The Extended Afternoon is full of fun and cool activities. Taking place in our gaming classroom, our campers have access to lots of games (board games and video games), experiments, craft projects and other activities. Your kids will have the option to: participate in a game tournaments, work on projects; join a quest in a role playing game; or just hang out!!!

  • The Extended After Camp runs 1.5 hours after the close of day camp
  • Campers are picked up between 4:00 PM to 5:20 (4:50 on Friday)
  • The fee is $45, per week

    • OVERNIGHT CAMP
    This is the ultimate Science and Technology summer camp experience.

    Designed for campers 11 and up, our overnight sci-tech camps run for five nights. Overnight camps start on Sunday night and run through the end of the camp day on Friday.

  • The 5 night programs are $1295 and include the cost of camp, room and board
  • An optional 2 night weekend package, for campers staying between programs, or who want to 'test drive' the college experience, is available for $295
